Dubeň Lookout Tower
Upper Považie Region
A tall lookout tower rises on Mount Dubeň above the village of Teplička nad Váhom. The 27.4-meter-high tower features a steel structure clad in wood. At the entrance, there is a covered area with a wooden bench for visitors to sit and relax. Its sufficient elevation (598 m a.s.l.) allows for a great view of the entire city of Žilina and its surroundings.
After a walk to the lookout tower, you can head to Budatín Castle, which houses a wire-craft (tinkering) exhibition – the only one of its kind in the world. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful historical park, perfect for a walk or a picnic.
How to get there?
The lookout tower can be reached via two routes:From Budatín, follow the red tourist trail starting at Námestie hrdinov (Heroes' Square).
From Zádubnie, from the public transport stop "Prípojná," follow the green markers of the educational trail.
