U Jantov Lookout Tower

The lookout tower rises above the town of Krásno nad Kysucou in the U Jantov settlement on Diel hill (560 m a.s.l.). The 25-meter-high wooden tower with stone foundations has two viewing platforms. The lower platform, in the form of an outdoor terrace, allows you to look around the surrounding meadows, while from the upper covered viewpoint, a wonderful view awaits you of the town of Krásno nad Kysucou itself, the Kysuca river, the Kysucká vrchovina highlands, and the Kysucké Beskydy mountains with Veľká Rača.
From the railway station in Krásno nad Kysucou, two paths lead to the lookout tower – the first of them is the Stations of the Cross of the local Calvary, where there are steeper but short climbs along with benches for resting, or you can take the asphalt road towards the U Jantov settlement, which is a more suitable route for those who want to go to the lookout tower by bicycle.
