Lookout Tower on Hladký Hill

The monitoring lookout tower near Zborov nad Bystricou is one of the many Kysuce observation towers you can visit on a trip. This architecturally intriguing structure combines brick and wooden elements with steel profiles. Since the tower cannot be seen from the village of Zborov itself, do not expect a view of the Zborov valley. However, you will enjoy a beautiful view of a part of the Bystrica valley and the valley of Krásno nad Kysucou. The tower also offers wonderful panoramic views of the Kysuce Highlands (Kysucké vrchy), the Malá Fatra Mountains, and other more distant mountain ranges. This trip is suitable for the whole family.
How to get there?
A new green-marked tourist trail leads directly from the center of the village of Zborov nad Bystricou (2.5 km, 1:20 h). Another option is to combine the trip with a visit to the settlement of Vyšné Vane, which is only about 10 minutes away from the lookout tower. You can also reach the lookout tower from the town of Krásno nad Kysucou by following the red tourist trail along the ridge that separates the Kysuce and Bystrica valleys (4.9 km, 2:00 h).
