Rajec Cycling Route

The Rajec Cycling Route can be divided into two sections. The first section connects Žilina with the village of Turie, while the second section connects Rajecké Teplice with the town of Rajec and the Váh Cycling Route. There are also several regional and local cycling routes available nearby. The route itself is not challenging and is suitable for recreational cyclists as well.
The second section of the Rajec Cycling Route begins in Rajecké Teplice, home to one of Slovakia’s most famous thermal spas. You can visit the spa to relax in the thermal pools and saunas. From the spa town, the route continues through the villages of Konská and Kamenná Poruba to Rajec. On hot summer days, you can cool off at the thermal swimming pool in Rajec. From Rajec, continue through several villages toward Považská Bystrica. In Domaniža, you can see the beautiful Church of St. Nicholas. The cycling route passes through the entire town of Považská Bystrica, goes through the signalized intersection, and continues beneath the highway bridge toward the Váh River, where it ends at the junction with the Váh Cycling Route.
The route runs along asphalt roads and is suitable for a road bike.
