Vysoká nad Kysucou Cycling Circuit

Vysoká nad Kysucou Cycling Circuit

Kysuce

The route begins at the Municipal Office in Vysoká nad Kysucou, where you can park in a free parking lot. The unmarked trail follows the main road for approximately 1.5 km towards Makov. At the Vysoká nad Kysucou, Furmanec bus stop, it turns left and runs parallel to the red-marked Kysuce Cycling Route. After about 2.7 km, it leaves the cycling route and continues to the settlement of Vrchrieka, and then along the ridge of the Javorníky Mountains, following the red tourist marker towards Semeteš. In Semeteš, it reconnects with the Kysuce Cycling Route, follows the main road for just under 2 km, and at the Grušpierovci cycling signpost, it turns onto a forest road that leads back to the village center. The sprawling Kysuce village of Vysoká nad Kysucou is the birthplace of the prominent academic painter Miroslav Cipár, the ancestors of E. A. Cernan (the last man to walk on the Moon), and Štefan Hunčík, the owner of the world's largest tinker workshop. In the village, you can also visit the Biblical Garden or see the sundial. The cycling route also crosses the Ružencová cesta path, and several crosses and a small belfry can be found along the way.
The route runs along asphalt, gravel, paved, dirt, and rocky roads and is suitable for an MTB bike.
