The circuit around Terchovský chotár
Upper Považie Region
Explore the Terchová region from the seat of a bicycle. Discover the beauty and hidden corners that Terchová and its surroundings have to offer. Although the route is not the longest, it features significant elevation gains, ranking it among the more challenging ones. It begins in the Panská Lúka locality, and the loop itself starts from Vyšní Repáňovci. We recommend taking the loop towards Šípková, as the climbs are less steep there, but the choice is entirely up to you. Near the cycle route, before reaching Smrekovci, you will find the settlement of Jánošíkovci (also known as u Jánošov). This is the birthplace of the most famous Slovak brigand, Juraj Jánošík. Here, you will find the symbolic Jánošík's House with a memorial room dedicated not only to him but also to his family. From the Smrekovci locality, the trail continues through terrain that alternately climbs and descends, passing beautiful viewpoints, meadows, and settlements back to the starting point of the cycling route. Along the way, you will come across several cycling intersections that allow you to shorten or extend your ride, giving you the chance to explore other parts of the Terchová region.
The route runs along asphalt roads as well as dirt and forest tracks and is suitable for MTB bikes.

Behind the fire station, located just past the supermarket, turn left, cross a small bridge, and you will reach a small parking area from which an educational trail leads to the lookout tower.Galéria
