The circuit through Kysuce ridge

The route begins at the parking lot in Nová Bystrica and continues towards Stará Bystrica along the Kysuce Cycling Route. In Stará Bystrica, we highly recommend taking a detour to the village center, which can be reached via a short local connecting cycle path. Here, you will find the Slovak Astronomical Clock, which is the largest wooden statue in Slovakia. Near the village of Klubina, the route leaves the Kysuce Cycling Route and continues towards the Klubinská dolina valley. At the end of the valley, a steeper climb begins towards the Kýčera locality. From there, the trail descends to the Veľký Potok cycling intersection, where you can shorten your ride by continuing straight to Nová Bystrica. However, we recommend continuing towards Vychylovka, where the route will bring you close to the open-air Museum of the Kysuce Village in Vychylovka. Here, you can explore residential and farm buildings, technical and sacral structures from several Kysuce villages, as well as the historic forest switchback railway. In a traditional tavern, you will be served by staff in authentic Kysuce folk costumes and treated to traditional local cuisine. From Vychylovka, the route follows the Kysuce Cycling Route back to its starting point in Nová Bystrica.
