Dolný Kubín – Oravský Podzámok – Leštiny

The Orava cycling route connects several Orava villages with the town of Dolný Kubín. The route begins in Dolný Kubín at the Pod Kuzmínovom footbridge, which takes you across to the opposite bank of the Orava River. The trail continues to the Mokraď district, where it joins the main road through the industrial zone. It then proceeds along a stabilized dirt road to Racibor, where it returns briefly to the main road before continuing all the way to Oravský Podzámok, right below the castle. From there, follow the green-marked trail to the village of Pribiš. A short, yellow-marked connecting path on an asphalt and gravel road then leads you to Pucov, where you join another green-marked trail. Near the village of Osádka, this trail connects to the red-marked Kubínska Cycling Highway (Kubínska cyklomagistrála), which leads you straight into the village of Leštiny. Here, you can visit the magnificent Wooden Articular Evangelical Church, an official UNESCO World Heritage site.
A disadvantage of this route is that the initial section partially runs along busy main roads.
The route follows a mix of asphalt, stabilized, dirt, and forest roads, and is best suited for mountain bikes (MTB).
