The Trstená – Nowy Targ cycling path offers enchanting views and beautiful scenery. Along the entire route, you can admire the magnificent peaks of the High and Western Tatras, as well as the surrounding landscape. The cycling trail, leading from Trstená through Suchá Hora to Nowy Targ, was built on the trackbed of a former railway line that operated until 1971. This asphalt-surfaced cycling path passes through a quiet, undeveloped environment and features only a gentle incline, making it easily manageable even for young children. You will find rest areas and wooden bridges constructed on the original foundations of the old railway bridges. There is only one water refill point along the entire section, located at the Liesek – kaplnka rest area.
The cycling route is 38 kilometers long and mostly runs away from main roads, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful ride. The route starts in Trstená on SNP Street. In the town, the path runs along the Oravica stream towards Liesek and Suchá Hora, continuing across the Polish border through Czarny Dunajec and Rogoźnik, all the way to Nowy Targ.
The entire route follows a smooth asphalt path and is fully suitable for road bikes.

Parking
Parking is available at M. R. Štefánik Square; alternatively, the parking area near the railway station is approximately 650 m from the starting point of the cycle route.Galéria
